One invoice for new students — and plan help one message away
Billing a new student is now simpler. When someone joins mid-month, their joining-month balance and the month ahead arrive on one invoice — one payment link, one WhatsApp message. This release also fixes a delivery problem with WhatsApp invoice messages, tidies up invoicing set-up, and makes plan renewals a conversation rather than a chore.
One invoice for new students
When a student joined mid-month and your centre billed in advance, their first automatic invoice used to arrive as two separate bills — two payment links for the parent, two lines for you to reconcile. It was easy for a parent to pay one and miss the other. Now it's a single invoice: the joining-month amount appears as a clearly labelled catch-up line — for example, "Tuition — catch-up (16–30 Jun 2026)" — alongside the regular monthly line. The total is exactly the same; there's just one payment to make. You'll see it under Invoices when you open a new student's first automatic invoice.
Invoicing set-up pre-selects the recommended option
During invoicing set-up, the billing style step labelled "In arrears" as recommended — but quietly pre-selected the other option, so owners who clicked straight through ended up billing in advance without meaning to. The set-up now pre-selects the same option it recommends, so the default choice and the advice finally agree. You'll find it in the onboarding checklist under Set up invoicing.
Plan renewals start with a WhatsApp chat
When your plan expires, is cancelled, or your free trial ends, the screen you land on now offers a single Talk to us button that opens a WhatsApp chat with our team — with your message already filled in. The "Resubscribe" reminder banner works the same way. Instead of comparing plans and working through payment screens on your own, you tell us what your centre needs and we set up the right plan with you.
WhatsApp invoice messages send reliably again
A recent behind-the-scenes change stopped some WhatsApp invoice messages and payment reminders from going out, because the system briefly could not find its message wording. That's fixed — messages now send dependably, and we've added safeguards so this particular failure can't quietly return. There's nothing to do on your side; invoice messages and reminders resume automatically.
