Edit invoices directly, track every change, and search across everything

This release makes invoices far less painful to manage. You can now edit them directly instead of voiding and starting over, every change is recorded in a full audit trail, and a new cross-entity search puts any record one keystroke away.

Modify invoices without voiding

Previously, correcting an invoice meant voiding the entire thing and recreating it from scratch — losing the original invoice number in the process. Now you can edit line items inline, add new ones, remove items, and override carried-forward amounts, all from a structured preview step that shows the complete invoice before saving. Smart amount logic preserves pro-rated values when pricing hasn't changed, so you only recalculate what's actually different.

Full invoice audit trail

Every invoice now carries a chronological activity timeline covering 18 distinct event types — creation, modifications, payments, status changes, payment link events, late fees, discounts, and more. Each entry records who made the change, when, and exactly what was updated. If a parent disputes a late fee, you can show precisely when it was added and by whom.

Payment links at a glance

A new tab on the invoice detail page shows every online payment link — Cashfree and Razorpay — with the link amount, status, creation date, expiry, amount paid, and provider, sorted newest-first. No more switching between dashboards to check whether a payment went through.

Cross-entity search

Find any student, course, batch, or other record in seconds from a single search bar in the main navigation. Results span all record types, so you no longer need to navigate to each section separately. When a parent calls during a busy reception hour, you can jump straight to the record you need.

Multi-topic file upload

You can now tag uploaded files with multiple topics — and create new topics on the fly during upload. A past exam paper that covers both Maths and Science no longer has to live under just one heading; students see it wherever it's relevant.

Zero-amount line items now preserved

Setting a line item amount to exactly zero — for a waived fee or scholarship discount — now works as expected. Previously, entering zero was treated as empty and silently replaced with a calculated amount. Explicit zeros are now preserved exactly as entered.
